#bookreview: Noone Ever has Sex on a Tuesday by Tracy Bloom

Blurb:

Childhood sweethearts Matthew and Katy agree they must never see each other again following a school reunion. So all is forgotten … until eight months later when a shock meeting at an antenatal class forces them to confront the fact that Matthew could be the father of Katy’s baby. Love and life are messy, but Katy and Matthew take things to a whole new level as deep emotions begin to resurface and hormones run riot.

Never has a one-night-stand led to such chaos!

EDIE Review:

Really enjoyed reading this novel and it was the first I had read from this author, too. I found Bloom’s writing easy to read and enjoyable, which meant that I could fully immerse myself into the story and not even think about reading.

The storyline was strong and I liked that the main female character had her own set of flaws too – it made the story realistic and relatable to everyday life. The characters were drawn very well and I felt there was a good mix of different types of characters too. I really liked the fact that I thought I liked someone and then halfway through I realised that actually, they weren’t what I thought. Equally, I had a similar experience with another character whom I didn’t like but then grew to love! I love how Bloom’s writing and skill made this happen.

An easy read with an enjoyable cast of colourful characters which kept me turning those pages! Looking forward to my next Tracy Bloom novel.
